My story is unique, involving seminary, international missions, new church plants, with a great mix of the corporate world. In other words, my calling (from a great Greek word, "kaleo") had to do with the positive application of my strengths instead of a job title.

We are all familiar with the phrase "When a door closes, a window opens." For many, it’s just rhetoric - usually from some well-meaning friend or family member. For me, it is the absolute truth that led me to become an inspired and transformational coach.
I’d always been that kid in whom others could confide and I remember being astonished when people would share their fears and insecurities. I saw (and see) so much in people – things they don’t see are haven’t ever realized. And I told them so!
Fast forward to college where I majored in Communications and then onto a career in Advertising and Marketing. Somewhere along the way, I realized that the part of my job that I loved the most – and where I was most successful – was in relationship building and talent development. In fact, it sometimes felt as if I was the only person who realized how critical the people were to the success of the organization.
So, in 2016 I left a 29-year career in Marketing and Advertising and decided to do what I loved more than anything and I became a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach and Consultant.
I was first introduced to Strengths in 2002 when I was part of a team who brought it to the Advertising agency where I worked. I fell in love. I worked with Strengths for the next 14 years and when I left the agency world in 2016, I knew that it was my calling.

Charlotte is a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach (2016) and Business Builder Profile (BP10) coach (2016). She is also an Accredited User of the Morrisby Guidance Service (2016). She is qualified to administer psychometric ability and aptitude tests and holds the Test User Certificate in Occupational and Ability Testing (British Psychological Association, 2016). In 2017, she completed her Postgraduate Diploma in Careers Education, Information and Guidance through the University of Warwick.
Charlotte is a member of the UK’s Career Development Institute. She abides by the CDI’s Code of Ethics and maintains her professional knowledge in accordance with the CPD guidelines laid down by the Careers Profession Alliance. She is listed on the UK Register of Career Development Professionals (membership number: 00563609).
Charlotte holds a Masters Degree in Education (Open University, 2002) and a BA Degree in Paper Conservation (Camberwell College of Arts, University of the Arts, London, 1993).
She has sixteen and a half years’ experience working in the UK’s higher education sector in a range of roles, latterly specialising in training and development for PhD and postdoctoral researchers.
Prior to working in higher education, Charlotte trained as a paper conservator and worked in public sector institutions and private practices in the UK, Australia, the USA and Malaysia.

Over the years, I have trained and coached students, student leaders, administrators, faculty, and staff about assertiveness, interpersonal communication, engagement, teamwork, and anything else I thought would help them better manage the issues they faced. I empower people by giving them the skills they need to develop their talents, advocate for themselves, and better understand others. Once people know who they are and what they can do, they treat others and, often more importantly themselves with the respect they deserve.
Alicia's Bio | I have always been dedicated to serving others, especially those who have faced significant challenges in their lives. I have worked in Higher Education for the past 10 years. In every facet of my career, I’ve advocated for the people I work with to make sure they had their best chance at overcoming any obstacle and being successful. When I discovered Strengths almost five years ago, I knew my approach to coaching and supporting others would never be the same. Now when I work with students, staff, or faculty, I use my knowledge to help them discover their own talents and the talents of those around them.
