20 years in higher education leadership, teaching, advising, and career counseling allows me to mentor others to do what I do. I love to train other career coaches, business leaders, and educators to help their clients, employees, and students to step into strengths-based careers.

I am a career coach certified in both the CliftonStrengths and MBTI. I coach professionals in the healthcare industry and college students to leverage their unique talent themes to reach their professional goals with clarity and productivity. My expertise is twofold. With certifications in other career assessments, I help clients who feel stuck in their current careers and need to clarify a more fulfilling career path. With changing life roles, our values may have shifted, which need clarity while considering given marketplace trends (as shown on www.O*Net). I also maximize individual and team talent themes for meaningful success and well-being.
While innovation and technology are influencing all sectors of the economy, my mission is to help teams and individuals maximize the best of who they already are and deliver their unique contributions to build a trusting and effective community engagement. I believe innovation is most valuable when the the outcomes deliver a positive impact for humanity, not just individuals. To achieve this, I help individuals develop their raw talents to a mature level of performance that's beneficial to all.
I have been honored the 2016-2017 Woman of the Year Award with NAPW because of my commitment and leadership to my profession.
My deep passion to become a CliftonStrengths coach evolved from my first career as a school psychologist. As a school psychologist, I routinely saw students disengaged from their educational programs, which resulted in my concern for their transition to college and later employability. Therefore, to help all professionals increase engagement and students to attain their educational goals, I furthered my education in Career Education and Counseling. I also became certified in CliftonStrengths, MBTI and the Strong Interest Inventory to create the most positive impact in my coaching sessions with professionals and students. I should also note that I am an avid painter.
With Maximizer being my first theme on the StrengthsFinder, I am hard-wired to leverage on your talent themes. I am energized by helping both professionals and students achieve professional breakthroughs through the lens of Strengths. This insightful discovery occurred when I received a customized report, igniting a transformation in my personal development, my career, and my purpose. I look forward to your transformation with CliftonStrengths.

For a period of over 30 years, first as a corporate human resource management professional, more recently as a university professor, and now as a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach, a major part of my mission has been assisting individuals in the process of ‘learning how to learn.’ That endeavor has been characterized by a tripartite philosophy of teaching/education that views education as the key to knowledge, knowledge as the key to understanding, and understanding as the key to our continued collective existence. In service of that philosophy I take an approach to coaching that focuses on collaboratively helping clients learn to discover knowledge, rather than relying on a training model or rote learning, and strive to accomplish learning objectives within an environment of mutual respect and dignity. I look forward to partnering with you to achieve your goals!

Hi! My name's Missy, and I'm excited to work with you as a certified coach. I'm an educator by trade and a Christian minister at heart, so I'm thrilled to empower people from all walks of life fulfill their goals, dreams, and destiny. Because I've personally experienced the transformative power of coaching, I believe that everyone (including YOU!) can overcome obstacles in order to live the life they've always imagined.
Are you an educator or student?
I have a Master's of Education degree in higher education leadership and student development, with an emphasis in pastoral care. I'm also a few months away from completing my second master's degree in teaching.
This means that I love working with students and educators/administrators at all levels! I can coach you through 1) personal development goals, 2) career choices, and 3) any other life issue that you want to make progress with; I have extensive experience in this arena.
Are you a Christian?
I've completed two years of Bible school and am currently writing a book about how to hear God's voice. I've experienced radical healing from past emotional wounds, so I've walked the hard journey of freedom. I'm also a go-getter who's meandered through the confusion of discovering God's will for my life... and now I'm finally confident that I'm pursuing the dreams God's had for me all along.
I want to help you deepen your relationship with God as you work through any obstacles that are hindering you from hearing God's voice and fulfilling your destiny. I also want to help you discover your strengths and leverage them to achieve your goals. I can coach you through any issues related to your faith, life, and personal development.
Interested in coaching with me?
I'd love to schedule a 15-minute intro call with you to discuss your dreams and create a game plan. I can also answer any questions you may have. I'm excited to hear from you!
I am a Gallup -Certified Strengths coach whose Top 5 Themes are Connectedness, Belief, Relator, Individualization, and Futuristic. I tap into each of these Talent Themes (Strengths) to help people develop the skills they need to communicate more effectively and to lead with greater confidence.
Connectedness allows me to see the big picture, to see the ways in which we are all inextricably linked, to passionately believe that when we combine our strengths, we can do amazing things! My Belief and Futuristic themes fuel me in pursuing my life's purpose; to help others identify and leverage their strengths, to visualize the possibilities, and to get to that "sweet spot" where they focus on their passions, use their innate talents, and contribute in meaningful ways. My Individualization theme helps me focus on every person's distinct attributes and needs, with my Relator theme driving my commitment to their success.
As a Gallup-Strengths coach, I work with motivated individuals who not only want more satisfaction out of their careers, but are ready to take action; who are open to a process of continuous learning, reflection, and growth.
As an educator, I help working adults pursuing an undergraduate degree to develop, refine, and apply their behavioral leadership skills, promoting their engagement and effectiveness in the workplace. I also coach individuals embarking on Graduate and Ph.D studies, as well as junior faculty who are transitioning into a new professional role and identity.
Whatever YOUR goal; leadership coaching, self-discovery, or pursuing a degree, I am committed to support you in a process of self-discovery and powerful transformation. What's your sweet spot?
