In 2010, I attended a workshop on the Gallup Campus as part of the Special Olympics National Youth Activation Summit. Having taken the CliftonStrengths assessment prior to attending, I was already amazed at how accurate it was and how well it described me. During the workshop I had the opportunity to understand even more about the assessment, about the potential impact, and how it could be used for individuals as well as teams.
Being so impressed by my experience there, I purchased a dozen StrengthsFinder 2.0 books and passed them out to my team at Special Olympics North Carolina. All of my staff and interns took the assessment and we started our journey into being a strengths-based team. We began to work together more effectively and not just meet but surpass goals year after year. After seeing the success with my team, the rest of the Special Olympics North Carolina staff took the assessment as well as the statewide Youth Council.
In 2013 I was one of the first 100 students in Gallup's Accelerated Strengths Coaching class and earned my certification as a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach. I've had the pleasure of working with clients of all ages - teens to adults - and all professions - from front line and technical staff to executive teams and boards. As an HR professional of a rapidly growing company in 2010, I fell in love with the philosophy of Strengths. I decided to lead the efforts in building a Strengths-based organization and never looked back. I was surprised at some of the things I saw early on in the process. Traci is the founder of Follow Your Strengths and one of the first Gallup-Certified Strengths Coaches in the state of Iowa. Follow Your Strengths offers customized CliftonStrengths training workshops, Q12 State of the Team engagement workshops, career coaching, and speaking engagements. In just four years since becoming certified, she has partnered with over 1,300 people and 50 organizations in discovering their strengths through the CliftonStrengths assessment. She is currently one of only approximately 150 individuals around the globe trained by Gallup to lead a new world-class CliftonStrengths Discovery course and is excited to deliver this top notch material to those in the beginning stages of their strengths journey!
Traci is passionate about improving employee engagement levels within organizations and helping individuals live their legacy. Her 15+ years of work experience includes HR and organization development consulting, career coaching, and training delivery. She has consulted across numerous industries and delivered training for organizations such as such as Accenture, John Deere, Kum & Go, Marvin Windows, and ACT. Additionally, she has teamed with the C-Suites and Senior Leader Executives in various sized organizations, up to companies with 5,000 employees, in conducting leadership workshops anchored in strengths based development.
In addition to her work as a strengths and engagement consultant, Traci is a cancer survivor. Diagnosed with breast cancer in May of 2017, she walked the walk and put her strengths to use as she battled and beat cancer. She is driven to help other cancer patients play to their strengths and healthcare practitioners and caregivers give their very best each day. She is looking for opportunities to partner with cancer organizations, breast cancer focused initiatives, cancer survivors, and healthcare organizations to deliver powerful strengths based presentations and keynote sessions.
