My effective zones:
1. Strategic Operations Management - I am likened to a ship’s rudder, a gatekeeper, a litmus filter. I steer conversations and discussions, and regularly challenge decisions and action plans. However, this is not with intention to be a pain to disrupt or create contention. Rather, it is with the aim to harness collaborative synergy of thoughts and perspectives to arrive at the most appropriate (quality) course of action.
2. Human Entrepreneurship. It is my innate desire to identify, establish and activate a person’s intrinsic potential (a talent scout/director). It is to encourage the individual to develop his/her strengths zones and so become more effective, engaged, and productive at life. Like fire starters, an enzyme binders, I seek out the best in each person, identify their unique talent zones, bring these individuals together and fuse them into high energy teams.
3. Calibrator – Barometer – Pole Vaulter: The images are chosen to reflect my propensity to qualifying work and services from the point of quality and meeting expectations. It is a statement of my commitment to upholding the professional integrity of delivering on quality. Much like a pole-vaulter, there is always another notch higher for the reach. Likewise, there is an inner element which propels me to pursue and bring out the next best in the individual and the organisation.
Life gave me opportunities to work in diverse fields from engineering to sales and marketing; from insurance and banking to retail operation and education.
With more than 20 years of work experiences, I have identified and established that my core effective zone is in harnessing the efficiency and effectiveness of individuals and processes. The outcome of identifying, understanding and empowering personal core effective zones fuels the individual to gain greater confidence in themselves. The collaborative sum of these effective individuals will form a highly effective team.
